Whale Heart began In early 2009. My band, Pacific Theater, was finishing a record. Some of my best friends were also finishing records. They all needed homes so I decided to build that home in the spirit of creativity, support and family. When it came to the name, I looked at my whale tattoo, so big it barely fits on my arm. I like the idea of me, a skinny dude, with a tattoo of the largest creature on the planet. The heart of a whale has to pump blood to the furthest reaches of it’s enormous body. That's what I wanted to achieve, to be the support system for a connected team of artists who approach their music in a unique way.

We're all connected through family, friendships and creative projects; we stand by our products and each other. I come from a big, supportive, creative family where this ideology is second nature. Passing it on through our relationships in the music world is what I think makes us special.
